How to Learn to Do NAET

Nambutripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques (NAET) is a form of alternative medicine developed by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad in 1986. Its underlying theory is that most illness is caused by undiagnosed allergies and the technique uses energy balancing testing and treatment, and draws on acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, chiropractic, kinesiology, and nutritional approaches. NAET differs from traditional Western medicine in that it is noninvasive and does not use drugs. Once an allergy to a food or an environmental substance is cleared, you do not have to avoid the substance, according to NAET. NAET claims its techniques can discover and cure, by clearing energy blockages, many chronic illnesses and complaints that do not respond to conventional medicine.

NAET practitioners must be licensed medical practitioners before they take NAET training, but remain independent practitioners and do not work for NAET. Laypeople can learn about NAET by undergoing treatment from one of the practitioners listed on the NAET web site, but cannot take the official training. If you are an MD, acupuncturist, chiropractor, or other approved medical practitioner, you can learn the techniques of NAET.

Instructions

    • 1

If you are a qualified medical practitioner, choose a seminar from the list on the web site and send in your application and fee to NAET.

    • 2

Read the book "Say Goodbye to Illness" by Dr. Nambudripad. NAET requires you to read this before you attend the seminar.

    • 3

Take the basic NAET seminar. This two-day seminar is offered monthly in Buena Park, California and conducted by Dr. Nambudripad. A few seminars are offered in countries other than the United States. You will know how to practice the techniques espoused by NAET after you take the seminar, and you can decide if you want to take further classes to become an active NAET practitioner.

    • 4

Take the NAET Advanced 1 seminar and required exam, if you have decided to go further with NAET. You can then be considered an active NAET practitioner and be listed on the NAET web site. You must also be recertified annually for three years and attend a NAET symposium, plus satisfying the other requirements to keep your certification.
