Leave the mold sitting at room temperature to cool for 30 minutes. This step applies to any type of suppository recipe you are using to bring the liquid to a more solid state before cooling it completely. You will notice that the liquid has begun to shrink back, allowing the excess that you poured into the mold to seep into the indents.

Place the suppository mold onto a steady shelf in the refrigerator to set and cool completely, unless your recipe is PEG based. PEG-based recipes should never be placed in the refrigerator and they should be solid after the 30 minutes at room temperature.

Leave cocoa butter-based recipes to cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Leave glycerin gelatin-based recipes to cool in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes.
