How to Take Out a Splinter Using Lemon

- Lemon juice
- Water
- Soap
- Towel
- Baking soda

Mix lemon juice, water and baking soda until you create a pastelike consistency. Add as much lemon as your skin can handle. People with sensitive skin should use only a few drops of lemon. People with non-sensitive skin can use more.

Wash the injured area with soap and warm water. Don't scrub the injured area as this can cause pain and push the splinter into your finger even farther. Dry by dabbing with a clean towel.

Apply the paste to the injured area. Make sure the paste covers the splinter completely.

Cover the paste and the injured area with a bandage. Allow the bandage to stay over the injured area overnight to allow the lemon juice and baking soda to take affect. This mixture loosens the splinter and makes removal easier.

Remove the bandage the next morning and remove the splinter with a pair of tweezers. Wash off the injured area with warm water and dry off with a towel.
