Can i become a doctor without going to graduate school?
In order to become a medical doctor in the United States, you must obtain a bachelor's degree, complete four years of medical school, pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination, and complete three to seven years of residency training in a medical specialty.
The only exception to this rule would be if you studied abroad and attended medical school in a country where the medical degree is granted directly after finishing undergraduate school. In that case, you may potentially take and pass the USMLE and complete your residency in the United States to practice.
However, please refer directly to the requirements established by the state medical boards or your desired medical program to confirm the validity of this approach.
