1
Decide what type of water purification system you want to have. Choosing to have a countertop, whole house or kitchen faucet system will determine the type of water ionizer to purchase.
-
2
Purchase a water ionizer that filters and alkalizes water. Attach a water ionizer to the kitchen faucet or have it installed underneath the sink depending on the type of system chosen.
-
3
Turn the water on and allow water to flow through the ionizer and the entire purification system when it is connected for the first time. The water passes through a water filter and goes into a chamber with electromagnetic plates where it is alkalized. The beneficial alkaline minerals retain the negative electrical charge in the ionization chamber. The negative electrical charge provides a powerful anti-oxidant effect.
-
4
Replace the filter in the water ionizer after about 1,000 gallons of water has been used. This will ensure that the water is getting the best filtration and is being alkalized correctly.
