How to Cure Head Lice & Eggs Without Medicine
Pediculosis, more commonly known as head lice, is a common concern for the parents of young children, with 6 million American children contracting the bugs each year . There is no need to apply harmful chemicals to your child's scalp to rectify the problem. Aside from the fact that lice shampoos contain poisonous pesticides that are forbidden from use on crops, many anti-lice products are highly flammable. Taking a more natural route to killing the lice is much safer and equally effective.Instructions

1
Purchase a new, sealed jar of mayonnaise. Do not refrigerate it when you get home as it must not be cold for the treatment to work. Only legitimate mayonnaise is effective; do not buy Miracle Whip or any similar salad dressing products.
-
2
Smother your child's hair in the mayonnaise to suffocate the bugs, making sure to cover the behind the ears and nape of the neck areas. Cover her head with a shower cap and leave the product in for 2 hours. Remove the cap after the 2 hours is up and instantly dispose of it in the trash.

3
Wash your child's head thoroughly with her usual shampoo. Repeat two or three times to ensure that all of the mayonnaise is gone. Wash your hands with soap.

4
Make your own natural lice shampoo by mixing 5 teaspoons of olive oil, 5 drops of tea tree essential oil, 5 drops of rosemary essential oil, 5 drops of lavender essential oil, and a small amount of traditional shampoo as an alternative to the mayonnaise option. Smother the child's head with the concoction as instructed for the mayonnaise, leave in hair for 1 hour, then rinse.

5
Rinse the hair and scalp with vinegar after shampooing to loosen the eggs. Rinse it out with hot water, but make sure the water is not so hot that it burns your child's skin.
-
6
Comb your child's hair with a nit comb. Nit combs are available at any drug store. Thoroughly comb through hair to remove the eggs (called nits).
-
7
Check your child's hair in a well-lit room after it has dried to make sure all of the lice and eggs are gone. Patiently examine one small section of hair at a time, and pluck any remaining bugs or eggs off with the nit comb and place them in a bowl of vinegar or hot soapy water with ammonia. Repeat the examination daily until you are certain that a re-infestation will not occur.
