How to Make My Own Homemade Body Wrap for Free
A body wrap is a popular spa treatment that involves covering the skin in moisturizer -- and wrapping the body in a warm cocoon -- to let the nourishing ingredients sink in. You can create a similar effect at home, to help with detoxification, toning, and circulation. It may also help alleviate muscle pain, and leave you with glowing, radiant skin.Things You'll Need
- Warm towels
- Washcloth
- Loofah
- 1 cup almond oil
- Essential oils
- Candles
- Relaxing CD
Instructions

-
1
Create a massage oil using almond oil and two or three calming essential oils, like lavender, juniper, peppermint or rosemary. Place two or three drops of each essential oil in the almond oil and mix.
-
2
Heat the room to a comfortable temperature. Light candles and play relaxing music.
-
3
Brush your skin gently with a dry loofah or washcloth, to remove dead skin and increase blood flow to the skin surface.
-
4
Massage the oil gently into your skin. Work from the feet -- up the legs -- around your torso -- to your arms and hands -- finishing with the chest.
-
5
Heat towels in the dryer for 15 minutes, to warm them up.
-
6
Wrap your body in warm towels. Close your eyes and relax, letting the ingredients soak in.
-
7
After twenty minutes, remove the towels and get into a hot shower.
