How to Make Foot Patches
Foot patches, otherwise known as foot pads, are herb-infused pieces of gauze that you attach to the soles of the feet and wear overnight. Some people believe that foot patches have a number of health benefits, including the ability to extract toxins from the body, through a process known as lymphatic drainage. Store bought foot patches are expensive, but you can make your own homemade version using a few basic supermarket items.Things You'll Need
- 2 pieces of gauze 5-inches by 5-inches
- Cellophane
- Medical tape
- Bowl with lid
- Scissors
- Fresh herbs (chamomile, nettle or lavender)

1
Tear up a large handful of fresh herbs and place into the bowl. Boil the kettle, and just before it reaches its boiling point, pour roughly a cup's worth of water over the fresh herbs. Cover with the lid. Leave to brew for an hour.
-
2
Sieve the herbal mixture through a strainer into another bowl.

3
Place the two gauze pads into the bowl. Leave for 15 minutes to fully soak up all of the herb-infused liquid. Remove the pads; gently squeeze them over a sink to remove some of the liquid.

4
Place the gauze pad onto the sole of your left foot, covering the central region. Secure with several strips of the medical tape. Wrap the entire foot with the cellophane to seal in the remaining liquid, allowing your skin to absorb it. Repeat with the right foot.

Leave the homemade foot patches on overnight. Remove in the morning. Discard the gauze and cellophane.
