1
Lavender is a powerful, detoxifying herb. Tear up a large handful of fresh herbs and place into the bowl. Boil the kettle, and just before it reaches its boiling point, pour roughly a cup's worth of water over the fresh herbs. Cover with the lid. Leave to brew for an hour.
-
2
A tea strainer, or sieve, seperates the herbs from the liquid. Sieve the herbal mixture through a strainer into another bowl.

Gauzes are sold at local chemists or drugstores. Place the two gauze pads into the bowl. Leave for 15 minutes to fully soak up all of the herb-infused liquid. Remove the pads; gently squeeze them over a sink to remove some of the liquid.

4
Place the gauze pad onto the sole of your left foot, covering the central region. Secure with several strips of the medical tape. Wrap the entire foot with the cellophane to seal in the remaining liquid, allowing your skin to absorb it. Repeat with the right foot.

5
Leave the homemade foot patches on overnight. Remove in the morning. Discard the gauze and cellophane.
