1
Relax your eyes after every extended period of focus and concentration. Eyestrain can increase the severity and regularity of eye floater observation. After an extended period of eyestrain, close your eyes and sit in a relaxed position. Relax your muscles, especially the ones located in your face. Remain in this position until you feel the strain in your eyes relax. If you are having trouble relaxing, focus on a memory or an image in your mind. Choose an image that you find relaxing or pleasant.

Soak a wash cloth in warm water. Place the cloth over your eyes and sit or lie down in a relaxed position. Massage your temples gently until you feel relaxed. Perform this exercise when you have time or when you feel particularly stressed. If you do this every morning and evening, you can reduce the appearance of eye floaters throughout your day.

3
Hold a pen or pencil at arms length away from your face. Focus your eyes on the end the pen and slowly bring it closer to your face, refocusing your eyes as it moves. Speed is not important. Move at a rate that you find comfortable. Do this for thirty seconds to a minute and relax your eyes. You can perform this exercise throughout your day any time you have a few spare seconds between work projects.

4
Focus your vision on a point of a distant wall or the ceiling above you. Rotate your eyes in a circular pattern for fifteen to thirty seconds in each direction. Keep your eyes open throughout the exercise and allow for full circular movement. If your job requires movement, you can perform this while walking through your office or riding on the elevator as you are changing floors. If your job requires you stand in one position for extended periods, the ceiling or distant-wall technique will work well for your situation.
