How to Use Derma 8000

The Derma Master 8000 is a photo-therapy device that beams light directly to the lowest layer of skin to promote collagen growth in the cells of the facial skin. This collagen buildup helps smooth out wrinkles and gives your face a more youthful appearance. Sessions with the Derma 8000 only last about 30 minutes each, and results can be seen after only a few applications.

Instructions

    • 1

Have the patient wash their face to remove dirt and oils. Cover the patient's eyes with the protective goggles.

    • 2

Plug in the Derma 8000 and press the power switch. Wait for the light on the wand to turn on. Touch the tip to the back of your hand. The wand will be slightly warm when the LEDs are ready.

    • 3

Apply the lighted end of the wand to the patient's face. Apply light pressure to ensure contact. Slowly move the light around their face, exposing each area for ten to fifteen second before moving on. Start with the lower left side at the jaw and move in a back and forth motion -- as if you were holding a giant eraser and were erasing their face. This will ensure that all areas have been covered.

Apply one treatment four to six times weekly for about two weeks, and then once every one to three months to maintain results.
