How to Use Duct Tape to Lose Weight
Duct tape is an adhesive material just about everybody uses around the house in home fix-it projects. Its adhesive strength, its durability and its flexibility have enabled inventive tape-wielders to develop many uses, some quite unexpected. One off-the-wall use is as a weight-loss aid: Use duct tape to create makeshift exercise equipment at home.Things You'll Need

1
Rip two strips of duct tape off the roll. Each strip should be at least 2 feet in length. Hang them on the edge of a table.
-
2
Place a wooden spoon on a table, and set one full soup can, lying on its side, on each end of it. The long end of the cans should be parallel with the spoon to make attaching the two entities easier in step 3. Leave enough space between the cans for you to comfortably grab the middle of the spoon with one hand.
-
3
Place one strip of duct tape over the can on the left, joining it securely to one end of the spoon. Do the same with the other strip of tape and can, attaching the can to the other side of the wooden spoon. Make sure the spoon and can are physically touching. If the cans look loose or if, upon lifting, they threaten to fall off the spoon, add more duct tape until secure.

4
Grab the middle of the spoon and curl your arm upward, toward your shoulder. Women should do this activity three times a week for 20 minutes. It will tone biceps and burn calories, which in turn help you lose weight. Be sure to alternate arms to get even muscle buildup in each arm. With more practice and muscle buildup, you can increase the amount of time and number of repetitions you exercise each time. An alternative is to add weight to the homemade dumbbell by adding more soup cans, attaching them with duct tape.
