Ways to Increase Metabolism With Vinegar
Both distilled white vinegar and apple cider vinegar are pretty popular these days. Both types of vinegar are renowned within the health community for helping with everything from losing weight to warding off illness and disease.-
Make Sure the Water is Cold

Both apple cider vinegar and distilled white vinegar will work for losing weight, which helps raise metabolism. Most people get the vinegar by adding one to two teaspoons of it to 16 ounces of water and drinking it throughout the day. Water is an essential ingredient to losing weight and raising metabolism and most people are recommended to drink about 64 ounces of water a day. Making that vinegar water will help with the weight loss and metabolism, especially if the water is cold. According to health article author Michael Huddleston, drinking water throughout the day that has been cooled to 40 Fahrenheit can help burn up to 200 calories, which can in turn, increase metabolism. The metabolism will naturally increase in order to warm the body. Make sure to drink warm water with meals, as cold water will dilute digestive enzymes.
Apple Cider Vinegar
-
If possible, look for organic apple cider vinegar. This is available in some everyday grocery stores, but also in the local health food store. Organic has a higher percentage of acid. Not only is it good for helping with digestion, but it can also help burn additional calories. According to Patricia Bragg MD, Ph.D., some people notice positive results with just two large glasses of apple cider vinegar water a day. Again, make apple cider vinegar water by adding one to two teaspoons (or just a splash) of apple cider vinegar to 16 ounces of water. Don't forget to make the water cold, so add ice. It works best to add the apple cider vinegar to the bottom of the glass first, add a splash of water, the ice cubes and then fill up the glass the rest of the way with cold water. Stir with a spoon, if necessary.
White Wine Vinegar
-
The metabolism is how the human body converts food into energy to burn calories. Again, stay well-hydrated and add white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar to your cold water to help burn additional calories, raise metabolism and lose weight. Stick to organic and natural foods, which make the body work harder to digest. For an extra twist, add fresh lemon slices to vinegar water and cook with white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar in order to speed up metabolism.
