How to Use a Galvanic & High Frequency Machine

Galvanic High Frequency Machines are often used by spa technicians to tone and firm the skin during facial treatments. High frequency has been shown to increase circulation in the skin and promote cell renewal. Skin that has been treated with a Galvanic machine often looks smoother and has fewer fine lines.

  Touch the back of the unit or one of the wands with a wet hand to act as a conductor. Turn on the Galvanic machine. Spread a thin layer of the appropriate gel onto the face or the wand of the machine, as directed by the manufacturer.

  Wait until you hear the machine beep, indicating the machine is ready to use. Start therapy along the neckline and use upward strokes.

  Repeat each motion three times to make sure the application has been done correctly. After therapy on the neckline, you may move on to the cheekbone. If the skin appears dry at any time during the treatment, apply a water-based toner so the electricity can continue to be conducted.

  Push the wand deep into the skin so that the galvanic gel penetrates the dermis. Continue therapy until you have performed strokes over the entire face and neck area.
