1
Mix oil of oregano with water. Starting with smaller amounts, put one to five drops in water, juice or a tsp. of honey two or three times a day. As an alternative, you may also use a medicine dropper and place one to five drops of oil of oregano underneath your tongue. If your conditions are extreme or stubborn, you may require more dosages than normal.

2
Use oil of oregano topically as an antiseptic and reliever of sinuses. Rub the oil of oregano on the outside of your sinuses and allow for it to remain there for a while. If you have sensitive skin or if the oil of oregano is too strong for you, dilute it in olive oil. If your eyes become irritated from the fumes from the oil, wash it off with an oil-soluble substance. As with many holistic, herbal or folk medicines, there have not been any published trials by scholarly sources. If you try an herbal remedy and feel that it is having a deleterious effect, stop treatment and consult a health professional immediately.

3
Continue to use the oil of oregano only as prescribed. Do not go only on word of mouth, because that can lead to potentially dangerous results. Track your progress to see what benefits you are gleaning, if any, from the oregano. If you are not improving within four to five days you should cease using the oregano oil.
