Depression is quickly becoming one of, if not the, most common mental disorder that people suffer under. Psychotherapy and counseling, when combined with drug treatment, is often enough to solve the issues of depression. However, one solution that more people are using as a part of an overall treatment program is hypnosis, which can counteract many symptoms of depression.

    • One of the symptoms of depression is anxiety. By undergoing regular hypnosis, or by learning self-hypnosis, a person can use this treatment to fight the nervousness that often accompanies depression.

    Insomnia

    • In addition to anxiety, hypnosis can help fight insomnia and sleeplessness through relaxation. This allows the mind to relax, and it helps the person regain energy.
