Does Willard Water Work?

Willard Water is one of a series of Structure Altered Waters (SAW) that have become available in the Alternative Medicine market. It is not harmful to humans or most pets. Like other SAWs, it starts with safe drinking water and adds small amounts of nonharmful compounds that are supposed to alter the water. These altered waters are claimed to have perfect structures for better absorption by cells.
Despite incredible claims, these waters just are high-priced placebos.
  1. What Are Structured Waters?

    • Structured waters claim a variety of methods to convert water into "perfect" waters better absorbed by cells and to provide an array of beneficial results. One of the most widely circulated SAW types is Hexagonal Water. Willard Water describes use of a catalyst to provide a similar function. The FDA tests these products to ensure the additives are not harmful for consumption. As these SAWs start with safe tap water or filtered tap water, they are no more dangerous than any other high-priced imported bottled water.

    What Is Willard Water?

    • According to their own literature, Willard Water has the following composition:

      Water 99.3%
      Sodium Metasilicate 87.5%
      Sulfated Castor Oil 11.5%
      CAW Micelle 0.39%
      Refined Lignite 0.23%
      Calcium Chloride 0.4%
      Magnesium Sulfate 0.4%

If the math seems off to you, it should.

    Is Willard Water Harmful?

    • Willard Water has not been identified as being harmful for human consumption. None of the identifiable ingredients are dangerous in small quantities. Castor oil and magnesium can be healthy supplements. The main downside to drinking or washing with Willard Water is the cost compared to drinking or washing with tap water.

    Is Willard Water Beneficial?

    • The main health benefits of Willard Water or other SAWs come from their placebo effect. The consumer has spent money for something he hopes will make him feel better, so he will tell himself he feels better rather than feel like a dupe. If the consumer drinks more water because he thinks Willard Water will improve his health, he will see the actual health benefits of having consumed more water. If the Willard mix is added to distilled or highly filtered water, the benefits will be increased as distilled and reverse osmosis water are effective in removing toxins from the body.

    Does Willard Water Work?

    • Willard Water has testimonials claiming incredible results. The same may be said of the water from Lourdes, France, and the laying-on of hands by many popular televangelists. Belief and will are powerful components in a person's health.
If the consumer of Willard Water buys the product as part of a general increase in his health awareness, this may be good.

Does Willard Water mix turn H2O into a super H2O? No.

Does a person benefit from drinking more water (improving hydration) if he drinks more water because it has the Willard Water mix? Yes, to that extent, Willard Water works.
