Unfold and set up the dome, making sure that the control panel will be easily accessible while you are in the dome and that you have positioned the dome close enough to an electrical outlet to plug it in without using an extension cord.

Plug in the electrical cord and press the power switch on the control module once. Set the temperature to between 104 or 113 degrees Fahrenheit by pressing the button labeled "Temperature." Press the button labeled "Blanket" to heat up the blanket. Turn on the ceramic heater, if you are using one. Set the timer on the control module for 10, 20 or 30 minutes and press the "On/Off" switch to "On" to preheat the dome for 5 to 10 minutes before getting into it.

Drink a cup of water before entering the sauna dome. Lie down inside the dome with your head outside the dome, resting on the pillow. Your arms and hands can be inside or outside the dome. Lying down is the best way to experience a sauna, because it relieves the nervous system of the need to maintain an erect position and has cardiovascular and neurological benefits. Within minutes, you will feel your body begin to fall into a state of deep relaxation as the healing benefits of the sauna dome begin.
