How to Use a Colema Board
While getting colonics can be an expensive venture, a Colema Board can be used to give yourself a combination of a colonic and an enema at home. Colemas are used to clean the lower colon to relieve constipation, and detoxify and cleanse the body. Before you use your Colema Board, consult with your doctor to ensure an at-home Colema is the right choice for your body and your overall health.Things You'll Need
- Chair Towel 5 gallon bucket Pillow Detergent Bleach
Instructions
-
Set Up the Colema Board
-
1
Open your toilet lid and raise the seat. Position a chair across from your toilet and lay the Colema Board across the chair so the open end (with splash guard) is over the toilet and the solid end is on the chair. If you weigh more than 200 lb., you will need an additional chair to support your weight.
-
2
Place a towel or padding on the board, and a pillow on the end with the chair.
-
3
Fill a bucket with 2 to 5 gallons of lukewarm water. Place the bucket on a counter, stable shelf or table so it is 2 feet above the rim of the toilet.
-
4
Insert the end of the water line with the copper weight into the bucket and insert the other end (with the plastic tube) through the hole in the Colema Board. Put the 3-inch piece of surgical tubing on the plastic tip of the water line.
-
5
Start a siphon by inserting the syringe into the surgical tubing and pulling back on the handle. Remove the syringe and clamp the water line by pushing in on the plastic clamp.
-
6
Put the disposable tip into the surgical tubing. Put a lubricant, such as olive or coconut oil, onto the disposable tip.
Perform the Colema
-
7
Lay on the board with your stomach up. Bending your knees, gently scoot your rear up towards the splash guard. Gently insert the disposable tip no more than 2 1/2 inches into your rectum.
-
8
Unclamp the hose and let the water flow into your colon.
-
9
Massage your colon with your hands. Start about 3 inches under your navel, moving to the left under your hip, up and across the underside of your ribcage, then back down to your navel again. Continue massaging throughout the process.
-
10
Let your body eliminate naturally when your colon starts to feel full. There is no need to remove the rectal tip.
-
11
Continue until the water stops flowing, 45 minutes to an hour.
Clean Up After Cleansing
