How to Make Massage Therapy Lotion Recipes

Home massage is a great way to relieve stress and increase intimacy with your partner. It can be used as a homeopathic treatment for sore muscles or injury, for a relaxing wind-down after a hard day's work, to alleviate dry skin, or for a bit of sensual foreplay to spice up your sex life. There are plenty of massage lotions on the market, but you can save money and customize your scent by using a home recipe to make the massage therapy lotion yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the beeswax in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the wax at high for 30 seconds.

    • 2

Add the vitamin E oil and the vegetable oil to the melted wax and stir until well combined. You may have to reheat the oil occasionally to keep the wax liquid while you blend.

    • 3

Mix the baking soda and water in a separate bowl. Put the mixture in a small pot and heat on the stove until boiling. Take the boiling mixture off the stove.

    • 4

Put the baking soda/water mixture and the beeswax/oil mixture into a single bowl. With a hand mixer or whisk, blend everything together. The mixture will thicken when it cools.

    • 5

After it cools a bit, add the fragrance oil and mix well.

    • 6

Pour the mixture into your dispenser. Let it cool to room temperature before using.
