How to Take Care of Your Eyes & Ears
The ability to hear and the ability to see are perhaps the two most valuable senses of the human body. It is natural for hearing and vision to grow weaker the older you get. But in the mean time, there are some steps that can be taken to preserve your hearing and eyesight for as long as possible.Instructions

1
Get the right nutrients. There are actually some nutrients and antioxidants that are beneficial for eye health. Some of these include zinc, selenium, lutein, lycopene and zeaxanthin. These can be found in supplement form and also in red pigmented fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, grapefruit and watermelon.

2
Wear glasses. Whenever you go outside and there is even a hint of sunlight, wear sunglasses. This can help reduce the eyes' exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Also wear safety glasses whenever operating any kind of power equipment where debris can get kicked up. Some examples of this would be running a weed eater, a push mower, a chain saw or any type of power tool.

Clean out your ears. This can be done by ear candling. Ear candling is a process where a hollow cone-shaped candle made out of paraffin or beeswax is gently inserted into the ear canal. It is lit and then the warmth from the smoke travels down the candle and into the ear. This relaxes the sinus and nasal cavities, causing the body to expel ear wax and toxins.

Turn down the music. Your ears can take a pounding by listening or playing loud music consistently. This is especially the case in an enclosed area like a small garage or a car. Also turn down the volume in your earphones as this is a very direct sound coming into the ears.

Cover your ears. If you are exposed to repetitive loud noises like guns going off or if you operate loud machinery, wear hearing protection. This is also the case if you happen to work in a factory where there are machines running constantly.
