How to Apply Sunscreen
Step 1: Prepare your skin.- Wash your skin with a gentle cleanser and pat it dry.
- Exfoliate once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells.
- Moisturize your skin to help the sunscreen adhere better.
Step 2: Choose the right sunscreen.
- Look for a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher.
- Choose a sunscreen that is suitable for your skin type (e.g., oily, dry, sensitive).
Step 3: Apply sunscreen to your face and neck.
- Use your fingers to apply a pea-sized amount of sunscreen to each of the following areas: forehead, nose, cheeks, chin, and neck.
- Blend the sunscreen in until it is absorbed.
Step 4: Apply sunscreen to your body.
- Use a golf-ball-sized amount of sunscreen to cover your body.
- Apply the sunscreen in circular motions until it is absorbed.
Step 5: Reapply sunscreen throughout the day.
- Reapply sunscreen every two hours, or more often if you are swimming, sweating, or spending time in the sun.
