Is fistula a type of STD?

Fistula is not considered a sexually transmitted disease (STD). A fistula is an abnormal connection or passageway that develops between two body cavities or organs that are not normally connected. It can occur in various parts of the body and may develop due to infection, injury, surgery, or certain medical conditions. Fistulas are not contagious and cannot be transmitted through sexual contact.
