1
Buy a mild cleanser that is suitable for your skin type. Put a portion of the mild cleanser onto the cotton ball. Rub the cotton ball in an upward motion, downward motion and circular motion on your face. Rinse your face with water after you're done.

2
Get an alcohol-free toner. Put some toner onto a cotton ball. Scrub the areas of your face in the same way that you did with your cleanser, then rinse your face with water.

3
Exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. Buy a facial scrub that helps remove dead cells and other impurities from the surface of your skin. Apply facial scrub onto hands and lather. Gently scrub it onto your face in a circular motion. Rinse your face with water.

Apply a facial mask once a week. Many facial masks have antibacterial properties that help to clean and empty pores on your face. Depending on what type of material you want on your face, there are masks that can be rinsed off and ones that can be peeled off. Both types are effective to remove dirt and bacteria from clogged pores.

Steam your face at least once a month. You can go to a beauty salon and get a professional facial, which would include the steaming process, or you could do this at home. To steam your face at home, boil water, pour the water into a bowl and place the bowl in front of you. Then, sit in a chair and place your face about 6 inches away from the steaming water, while draping a towel around the back of your head to prevent any steam from escaping. Do this for about 10 to 15 minutes while the steam penetrates your skin and clears your pores. Rinse your face clean with cool water or a damp cloth.
