Why is a physiotherapist not doctor of medicine?

A physiotherapist is not a doctor of medicine because their professional roles are different. Doctors of medicine can prescribe medications, order tests and imaging studies, and perform certain medical procedures.

Physiotherapy and medicine are distinct professions, with different educational backgrounds and scopes of practice.
