Why do the Sikhs swim in water at golden temple?
Sikhs do not swim in the water of the Golden Temple. The water in the Sarovar, or sacred pool, of the Golden Temple is considered holy and is used for bathing and ceremonial purposes. It is customary for Sikhs to take a dip in the Sarovar before entering the temple to pray. While swimming or diving for leisure activities can occur in public ponds, it is not practiced within the sacred spaces of the Sarovar at Golden Temple.
