How to Mix Myrrh Resin in Oil
Things You'll Need
- Myrrh resin
- Olive or vegetable oil
- Glass vial
- Half-pint mason jar
- Wooden stirring spoon
- Cheesecloth
- Gram scale

Pour a cup of oil into a small saucepan. Add 7 g (a quarter ounce) of myrrh resin to the oil. Weigh out 7 g on a gram scale if necessary.

Set the heat to low and let the mixture sit for six hours, stirring occasionally.

Place the oil into the half-pint mason jar and let it sit in the sun on a windowsill for up to two weeks, or proceed directly to the next step if you don't wish to wait two weeks.

Filter the olive oil through a cheesecloth to remove any solid residues.

Pour the myrrh oil infusion into a glass vial. It is now ready for aromatherapy or anointment purposes.
