What is a tricenter?
In anatomy, a tricenter is a point in the head where the three main cranial compartments (the anterior cranial fossa, the middle cranial fossa, and the posterior cranial fossa) meet. It is located at the junction of the frontal, parietal, sphenoid, and temporal bones. The tricenter is an important anatomical landmark because it is the point through which many important blood vessels and nerves pass. It is also the site of several important foramina, or openings, through which these vessels and nerves pass.
