What is telangiectasias?
Telangiectasias are small, dilated blood vessels that appear as thin, red or purple lines on the skin. They are often found on the face, neck, chest, and legs. Telangiectasias are common and usually harmless, but they can sometimes be a sign of an underlying medical condition, such as liver disease or rosacea.
Telangiectasias can be caused by a number of factors, including:
Aging
Sun exposure
Hormonal changes
Pregnancy
Certain medications
Rosacea
Liver disease
Genetic disorders
Telangiectasias can be treated with a variety of methods, including:
Laser therapy
Electrosurgery
Sclerotherapy
Cryotherapy
Topical medications
In most cases, telangiectasias can be successfully treated with one or more of these methods.
