Would ringworm cause your dog to chew at his feet?

Ringworm, also known as dermatophytosis, is a common fungal infection of the skin that can affect both humans and animals. In dogs, ringworm typically appears as round, red, itchy lesions on the skin. While these lesions can sometimes cause a dog to scratch or chew at the affected area, excessive chewing of the feet is not a common symptom of ringworm.
