How to Kill Mites on a Sedum Plant
Killing mites on your sedum can mean the difference between a healthy plant and a dying bush. Turn on a garden hose. Flush the sedum plants with water once every 48 hours. Inspect the plant every other day to ensure the removal of the mites. Look under the plant leaves, on the stem or in fibrous parts of the plant where mites tend to hide. Move on to the next step if mites remain after seven days.

Pour insecticidal soap or oil into a clean 12 oz spray bottle. Spray one leaf with the soap. Allow 24 to 48 hours to ensure the leaf remains healthy. Consult your local home or garden supply provider about a safe insecticidal soap or oil for your variation of sedum if the leaf discolors or dies.

Spray the entire sedum plant with the insecticidal soap or oil. Coat the underside of all leaves and the lower portion of the stem. Repeat this step every 72 hours for three weeks.
