Instructions

    • 1

Call 911 immediately after a sting from a box jellyfish. Box jellyfish are extremely deadly because their toxins attack almost every system in the human body. Therefore, it is imperative to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

    • 2

Soak the sting in distilled white vinegar until medical assistance arrives. If the victim must move, soak the area at least ten minutes and then try to remove the tentacles before attempting to move the victim. Do not attempt to remove the tentacles unless medical help is unavailable.

    • 3

Wrap an ACE bandage or any other type of pressure dressing around the sting if it is on the victim's arms or legs. This will help stop the toxin from spreading. Do not wrap it so tight that it will stop blood flow.
