Unroll a cigarette, or acquire a small amount of pouch chewing tobacco.

Use a small amount of water to wet the tobacco. Mash it in between fingers until the juices start to come out.

Apply a small lump of tobacco to the sting area. Compress it onto the sting.

Apply an adhesive bandage over the tobacco in order to hold it into place.

Allow the tobacco and bandage to remain on the sting until the pain has disappeared. Depending on the type of sting, this usually takes from 5 to 10 minutes.
