Bugs That Cause Sores on the Skin
Only a few bugs bite intentionally. The ones that do live off of blood. Some of these bugs can transmit diseases that are contagious. The majority of bugs that bite are just irritating and leave behind an itchy bump or sore. Here are a few of the bugs to watch out for and avoid.-
Bed Bugs

Bedbugs can cause sores on your skin. They have been around for centuries, and are difficult to control without chemicals. They are flat and reddish in color. An adult bed bug can lay five eggs a day and they are difficult to see with the naked eye. Since they are attracted to warmth and carbon dioxide. When they find a host, they bore two holes. One hole is to inject anesthesia and the other is a location to suck blood. They are a nuisance and their bites are irritating. They usually feed at night and hide during the day.
Head Lice

One dreaded bug that is hard to get rid of is head or pubic lice. They are easily passed from one person to another, usually on hair or clothing. They are blood-sucking creatures that can cause lesions that result in intense itching. Their many eggs can attach to any hair on the human body including eyelashes, eyebrows, armpit and groin hair.
Mosquitos

The mosquito is a dangerous bug that can cause itchy sores. Female mosquitoes need blood to be able to produce healthy offspring. They are attracted to warm bodies and often carry malaria, West Nile virus and yellow fever, which are dangerous to humans. They also transmit heart worm, which can be dangerous for animals. Mosquitoes are usually found near standing water.
Mites

You can get scabies from tiny little mites that burrow into your skin. They often cause an allergic reaction with intense itching. Often other areas of the body are affected. Scabies can be passed from one person to another by touching, sexual contact and shaking hands.
