How to Avoid Poisonous Spider Bites
Instructions
-
Around the House
-
1
Caulk or trim around all the cracks and crevices to avoid spiders from getting in the house.
-
2
Look before you reach. Spiders often lurk in dark corners.
-
3
Be careful around or stay away from outbuildings, storage units, old tree trunks or cabins not in regular use. These are favorite spots for both the brown recluse and the black widow spider.
-
4
Declutter areas such as closets, attics, basements and garages. These are a spiders favorite place. The more clutter that remains there, the more places for them to hide.
-
5
Seal all storage boxes tightly and place them several inches from the wall.
-
6
Shake clothing, blankets, towels, and similar items before folding if they were left laying in an area where spiders may have been found.
-
7
Leave space between your bed and the wall. Also, make sure the bedclothes do not hang all the way to the floor. Check your bed before getting into it at night.
