Examine the mark that you believe might be a spider bite. If the bite mark becomes more painful, stiff, swollen, or stings over the hours following the bite, you may have been bitten by a Black Widow or Brown Recluse.

Take note of your symptoms after the bite. Some symptoms of a bite by a Black Widow or Brown Recluse include: fever, chills, abdominal pain, and nausea. Bites by smaller, less venomous spiders may cause redness, swelling, pain, and itching.
