How Remove a Tick
1. Grasp the tick with tweezers as close to the skin as possible.
2. Pull upward with steady, even pressure.
3. Do not twist or squeeze the tick, as this may cause its mouthparts to break off and remain in the skin.
4. Cleanse the area with soap and water.
5. Apply antibiotic cream or ointment.
6. If you are unable to remove the tick, or if the mouthparts remain in the skin, seek medical assistance.
After removing a tick, it is important to monitor the area for signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, or pus. If you experience any of these symptoms, consult a doctor.
