Is the urinary bladder and gallbladder same structure?
The urinary bladder and gallbladder are not the same structure. They are two separate organs with different functions.
Urinary bladder: The urinary bladder is a hollow, muscular organ that stores urine. It is located in the lower abdomen, behind the pubic bone. When the bladder is full, it contracts and empties urine through the urethra.
Gallbladder: The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ that stores bile. Bile is a fluid that helps digest fats. The gallbladder is located under the liver, on the right side of the abdomen. When food enters the small intestine, the gallbladder contracts and releases bile into the intestine.
