Brain Cancer Symptoms

There are two basic types of brain cancer: primary brain cancer and metastatic brain cancer. In primary brain cancer, the cancer begins in the brain. Metastatic brain cancer is when the cancer has originated in another part of the body and spreads to the brain.
  1. Headaches

    • Headaches are one symptom of both types of brain cancer. The headache is often worse in the morning.

    Nausea

    • Nausea and vomiting can be symptoms of both types of brain cancer.

    Mental

    • Impaired metal capacity and memory loss can be a symptom of both types of brain cancer.

    Primary

    • In primary brain cancer symptoms can include loss of vision, hearing and sense of smell, numbness and tingling in limbs, muscle spasms, paralysis on one side of the body and behavioral changes.

    Metastatic

    • Swelling, bleeding and seizures can be symptoms of metastatic brain cancer.
