Why are my breasts sore 3 days after period?

Possible causes of sore breasts 3 days after period:

* Ovulation: Ovulation occurs when a mature egg is released from one of your ovaries. This typically happens 14 days before your next period is due. Hormonal changes during ovulation can cause breast tenderness and soreness.

* Premenstrual syndrome (PMS): PMS is a group of symptoms that can occur in the days leading up to your period. Breast tenderness and soreness are common PMS symptoms.

* Fibrocystic breast changes: Fibrocystic breast changes are non-cancerous changes in the breast tissue that can cause breast tenderness and soreness. These changes are common in women of all ages, but they are more likely to occur in women in their 30s and 40s.

* Menopause: Menopause is the natural decline in a woman's reproductive hormones. Hormonal changes during menopause can cause breast tenderness and soreness.

* Pregnancy: Sore breasts are a common early sign of pregnancy. If you are sexually active and you are experiencing breast tenderness and soreness, it is possible that you may be pregnant.

If you are experiencing breast tenderness and soreness that is severe or does not go away after a few days, it is important to see your doctor to rule out any underlying medical conditions.
