How to Increase NK Cells

NK, or natural killer, cells make up between 5 percent and 20 percent of the peripheral blood lymphocytes and are especially important to those diagnosed with cancer because of their ability to locate, recognize and kill tumor cells. Increased NK cells in the body can greatly improve the survival rate of someone diagnosed with and treated for cancer, as well as improve the response to chemotherapy and cancer treatments. A study of four groups of cancer patients, each given a different treatment to assess the effect on NK cells in their bodies, revealed that only active hexose correlated compound (AHCC) had an effect.

Instructions

    • 1

Request a natural killer cell activity blood test from a primary care physician or specialist. This will produce the present NK cell activity in the body in its current state. For cancer patients, this test can help predict prognosis, the likelihood of improvement in the condition and the response to treatment. This blood test should be conducted prior to adding AHCC.

    • 2

Take 3g to 6g of AHCC (active hexose correlated compound) daily for a minimum of 16 weeks. During the in-office study, the patients who took AHCC in 3g to 6g doses every day for a period of 16 weeks saw an average 249 percent increase in NK cell activity with no side effects.

    • 3

Request a second natural killer cell activity blood test after 16 weeks of taking AHCC consistently. Compare the results to the previous test to assess the increase in NK cells. Continue taking the AHCC supplement daily for continued NK cell increase.
