Those suffering from cancer can find relief through organizations that assist with paying for cancer-related medical expenses. Anyone suffering from cancer can apply, or qualify for, these programs. Cancer suffers can apply for state grants through Medicaid, a government-issued health insurance. Each state has a Department of Human Services which administers the Medicaid program. Many states offer you the ability to download an online application, but it is recommended you apply in person to speed up the process. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), patients who suffer from breast or cervical cancer should apply for grants to assist them with the expenses of those treatments.
