Side Effects of Interleukin Treatment

No matter what health problem you may be experiencing, it's important to know the possible side effects of the medications and treatments you will be expected to take. Interleukin is a treatment given to fight cancer, and it must be given intravenously.

  1. Kidney

    • One of the most common side effects of Interleukin treatment is renal failure. Dehydration is also a possible side effect.

    Respiratory

    • Respiratory distress and pneumonia are potential side effects of Interleukin treatment for some people.

    Blood

    • Blood alkaline levels, albumin levels, calcium levels, and bilirubin levels may be affected by having Interleukin treatments.

    Mental

    Abdominal

    • Some people may have side effects of abdominal pain, anorexia, diarrhea, and other abdominal symptoms from taking Interleukin treatments.
