Oil Protein Diet

Dr. Johanna Budwig has created a 100-page diet plan specially formulated for fighting cancer. Millions of people swear by Dr. Budwig's diet as a feasible treatment that works. Dr. Budwig was born in 1908 and died in 2003. People still follow Dr. Budwig's diet as a means of curing their cancer.
  1. What Did Dr. Budwig Discover?

    • In 1952, Dr. Budwig wrote a paper entitled "On Fat Biology V. Paper Chromatography of Blood Lipoids, the Tumour Problem and Fat Research." Today, this research paper is considered to be one of the biggest breakthroughs in cancer history. Proteins and highly unsaturated fats play a big role in the diet. Dr. Budwig was completely against processed foods and supplements. Additionally, she was against chemotherapy, radiation and all other drugs. She saw that there was a critical importance to using the sunlight for health and healing.

The basis of the diet combines flaxseed oil, cottage cheese and a sugar-free diet. The rest of the diet involves a vegetarian-based diet.

    What is the Budwig Protocol?

    • Budwig suggested that only flaxseed oil from the refrigerated section of the local health food store be used. Capsules, flakes and flaxseed oil stored directly on the store shelves should not be used.

Mix 2 tbsp. of cottage cheese with 1 tbsp. of oil. The mixture should be mixed fresh for each use and should not be mixed in advance. This mixture should be consumed twice a day for best results. Some people choose to consume more than two doses a day. The mixture should be thoroughly mixed on low speed with an Immersion Blender. Make sure no oil is left standing in the mixture. The user may also sprinkle freshly ground flaxseed on top of the mixture before consuming.

What if You are Lactose Intolerant?

    • Commercial milk is pasteurized. This means that bacteria and enzymes are destroyed. Since dairy is such an important component in Budwig's diet, you may want to try using raw milk and raw milk products as a means of tolerating the dairy differently. If yogurt is used in place of cottage cheese, the user must use three times the amount of yogurt. Even then, there are some who believe that this is not as effective as cottage cheese. Sugar, animal fats, meats, margarine, butter, salad dressing oils and foods, which are high in preservatives, should be avoided.
