Herbal Medicine for Cervical Cancer
-
Garlic
-
Aged garlic extract is full of antioxidants and is believed to inhibit and destroy the growth of cervical cancer cells. The natural antioxidants found in garlic stimulate the immune system, specifically the T and white blood cells that aid in the treatment of cervical cancer.
Goldenseal
-
Goldenseal is an herb that kills disease-carrying organisms in the vagina. Cervical cancer often results in the vaginal tissues becoming irritated, swollen or infected. Goldenseal can improve vaginal circulation, easing discomfort. Goldenseal can be used alongside with conventional treatments, such as radiation treatment, and can ease the side effects of chemotherapy by maintaining white blood cells. Goldenseal can be taken as a capsules, extracts, or teas, at a dosage of four to six grams daily.
Astragalus
-
Astragalus has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for many years, and behaves much like Goldenseal. Astragalus contains antioxidants that protect cervical cancer cells from free radicals that threaten them while improving the immune system at the same time. Astragalus can be taken as a capsule, 250-500 milligrams, three times daily. It can also be steeped in tea, three to six grams of dried root to 12 ounces water, three times a day.
