What Are YY Chromosomes?

YY chromosomes refer to a specific chromosomal condition in which a human male individual possesses two Y chromosomes instead of the typical XY chromosome pairing found in most men. This condition is extremely rare and occurs due to an error during cell division, leading to abnormal sperm formation.

YY chromosomes have been identified in a handful of cases and have been associated with a range of developmental abnormalities and health conditions. Some of the characteristics commonly associated with YY chromosome syndrome include:
