What are lymphocytes and neutrophil classified as?

Lymphocytes and neutrophils are both types of white blood cells (WBCs) or leukocytes.

Lymphocytes are a specific type of WBC involved in the adaptive immune response. There are many types of lymphocytes, including B cells, T cells, and natural killer (NK) cells.

- B cells: Produce antibodies

- T cells: Help B cells produce antibodies & activate other immune cells.

- NK cells: Destroy infected cells and tumors.

Neutrophils are another type of WBC. These belong to the innate immune system, providing general protection against any foreign body. It is the most abundant of WBCs, representing 40-75% of total WBCs.
