How long smoking to get cancer?

There is no definitive answer to this question as the time it takes for smoking to cause cancer varies from person to person. Some people who smoke for decades may never develop cancer, while others may develop cancer after smoking for only a few years.

However, there is a clear link between smoking and cancer. The more you smoke, the greater your risk of developing cancer. The risk is particularly high for certain types of cancer, such as lung cancer, mouth cancer, throat cancer, esophageal cancer, and bladder cancer.

If you smoke, you can reduce your risk of developing cancer by quitting. The sooner you quit, the lower your risk.
