Where are lymphocytes produced?
Lymphocytes are a group of white blood cells that play an important role in the body's immune system. They are produced in the bone marrow and lymphoid tissues throughout the body. The bone marrow is the main site of lymphocyte production, where stem cells differentiate into various types of lymphocytes, including B cells and T cells. B cells then migrate to the spleen, lymph nodes, and other lymphoid tissues, where they mature and become active. T cells also mature in the thymus, a small organ located near the heart, before migrating to other lymphoid tissues.
