Is subdural hematoma a malignant tumor?

A subdural hematoma is not a malignant tumor. It is a collection of blood that forms between the dura mater and the arachnoid mater, the two outermost layers of the meninges, the protective membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord. Subdural hematomas can be caused by head injuries, such as a concussion, or by certain medical conditions, such as bleeding disorders or anticoagulant therapy. While a subdural hematoma can cause serious neurological problems, it is not a cancerous growth.
