What is the difference between seroma versus hygroma?
Seroma
* Collection of serous fluid (plasma)
* Occurs after surgery or trauma
* Common in areas with loose connective tissue, such as the breast and abdomen
* Typically resolves spontaneously within a few weeks
Hygroma
* Collection of lymphatic fluid
* Occurs due to malformation or obstruction of lymphatic vessels
* Commonly occurs in the neck, axilla, and groin
* May require treatment, such as surgery or sclerotherapy
